Lewisville ISD Celebrates Forest Vista Student’s Selection as National Math Star!
Lewisville ISD is thrilled to share some exciting news! Cecilia Tang, a fourth grade student at Forest Vista Elementary, has been selected for National Math Stars’ 2025 cohort.
National Math Stars is a multi-state program that identifies students with exceptional math talent and provides them with ten years’ worth of support to accelerate their education. Each year, thousands of 2nd and 3rd grade students are nominated, but only a small fraction are chosen for this special opportunity.
We’re so proud that one of our very own has earned one of these coveted spots! Many thanks to all of the teachers, school administrators, parents, and community members who have helped Cecilia shine so brightly.
As a National Math Star, Cecilia will receive:
- Long-term support from 3rd grade through high school at no cost to the family
- Weekly one-on-one math mentoring
- Advanced math learning opportunities
- STEM enrichment materials and opportunities
- Invitations to math competitions and summer camps
Please join us in celebrating Cecilia for her hard work, curiosity, and love for math. We know this is just the beginning of an incredible journey!
