LISD Announces Malone as Principal of Valley Ridge Elementary
Lewisville ISD announced on June 9 the appointment of Kaleigh Malone as the new principal of The LISD STEM Academy at Valley Ridge Elementary. Malone most recently served as assistant principal of Garden Ridge Elementary, a position she held for three years. Prior to being named principal at Valley Ridge, Malone was set to be assistant principal at Heritage Elementary.
“I am honored and excited to join the Valley Ridge community,” Malone said. “It’s a privilege to lead a campus with such a strong tradition of innovation and excellence. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff and families to support every student’s success.”
Malone began her career in education at Grand Prairie ISD’s Ellen Ochoa STEM Academy, where she taught from 2010 to 2013. She joined LISD in 2013 as an Instructional Specialist/Coach and 3rd Grade Teacher at Central Elementary before moving to Vickery Elementary in 2016 as a Dual Language Instructor and Campus Mentor. Malone accepted the Assistant Principal role at Wellington Elementary in 2018, where she served for four years before taking the same position at Garden Ridge Elementary in 2022.
"We are thrilled to have Kaleigh Malone at the helm of the LISD STEM Academy at Valley Ridge Elementary,” said LISD Superintendent Dr. Lori Rapp. “Her proven leadership, educational expertise, and genuine care for students and families will undoubtedly continue the school's outstanding legacy."
