Lewisville ISD Announces Evans as Principal of Lillie J. Jackson Early Childhood Center
Lewisville ISD announced on June 16 the appointment of Cortney Evans as the new principal of Lillie J. Jackson Early Childhood Center. Evans has served as assistant principal at Camey Elementary since 2021, bringing nearly two decades of educational experience to her new role.
“I am thrilled to join the Lillie J. Jackson community,” Evans said. “I look forward to collaborating with our talented staff and supportive families to create meaningful learning experiences and build upon our school’s strong foundation of excellence in early childhood education.”
Evans began her educational career at Hebron Valley Elementary as a language acquisition specialist and teacher, later moving into administration roles at Stewart's Creek and Camey Elementary Schools. Known for her commitment to student-centered learning and community engagement, Evans emphasizes collaboration, instructional excellence, and cultivating authentic learning opportunities.
"Ms. Evans is a dynamic leader who deeply values educational excellence and community engagement," said LISD Superintendent Dr. Lori Rapp. "We are excited to welcome her leadership and vision at Lillie J. Jackson Early Childhood Center."
Evans earned a Bachelor of Science from Tarleton State University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington.
