Mrs. Shannon Everett

Welcome Wildcats!

I was born and raised in Irving, Texas and graduated from Nimitz High School in 2002, where I was involved in dance and drill team.  I went on to study education at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.  After two years, I transferred to the University of North Texas in Denton where I finished my degree in 2006. Then, I worked as a substitute teacher in several districts throughout the DFW area.

In 2007, I began my teaching career in Irving ISD. There, I taught 3rd grade and 5th grade at John R. Good Elementary.  I moved to Lewisville ISD in 2012 and continued teaching 5th grade at Rockbrook Elementary for three more years.  I joined the Creek Valley Middle School staff in 2015 to teach 6th grade Contemporary World.  I also teach the 7th and 8th grade AVID elective classes and am the AVID coordinator for CVMS.  This will be my 13th year as an educator.

My hobbies include reading, traveling, going to concerts and musicals, and spending time with family and friends. My favorite place to visit is Hawaii, where I got married.  To some of my former students, I will always be Ms. Stevens!  I live in Grapevine with my husband Jeff and our two Great Danes (Baxter & Nala).
