Hi all! 

I am Sra. Yanilsa Griffin and I am really excited to be teaching your kiddos at Lakeview.  This is my fifth year at Lakeview and my 10th year teaching.  This year, I will be teaching Spanish 1 and AVID.  This year, I will also serve as the AVID campus coordinator, Cheer sponsor and administrative intern.

I was born in Puerto Rico, but my family relocated to Irving, TX when I was a teenager. After high school, Go Cards Go, I attended UNT and earned my bachelor's degree in English, with a minor in Spanish.  This past December(2019), I graduated with Master's in Educational Leardership from UNT.  My goal is to move into administration, but I love teaching too much, so havent made the change yet.  My husband, John, and I have been married for 26 years and we have 4 children; the bigs-Enosh(25) & Acacia(24) and the littles, Calamus(19) & Ana(18).  All of our kids are TCHS almuni, so you might see me around town.  

As a previous LISD parent, I am thrilled to continue my journey here at Lakeview.
