Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Teresa Kenney
The winds of a small town in West Texas molded me into a hard working athlete. I earned a volleyball scholarship to Hardin-Simmons University and worked on the school paint crew during the off-season to pay my way. Along the way, my work ethic became the foundation for my studies. And, it was fun. My goal as a PE teacher is to lead the students to discover the joy of physical activity. Working on individual skills and teamwork, our students are introduced to the wide-range of sports, exercise, games and fun. They all improve and many times surprise themselves at how well they can do. This site will be a glimpse into the Wellington World of Physical Education.
I am a wife of a police officer. I am the mother of three children who all graduated with academic scholarships from Lewisville High School. All three are now married and I count all six as my children. We have two mechanical engineers, a nurse, a middle-school English teacher, a Charter school communications coordinator, and a police officer. Plus, our family grew recently with the birth of our first grandchild. Before Wellington and a break to raise our children when they were small, I was a high school head volleyball coach and assisted with track and basketball. For fun during my break, I coached the Brookhaven volleyball and taught part-time. I have been in education for 30 years.
I love to be with my family, read, and cook. One of my hidden talents is leading the puppet team at Live Oak Church.
