Mrs. Cara Sammons
Hello! I am Cara Sammons. I have been teaching at Donald Elementary since 2015. This is my 11th year in special education. I previously taught in a Special Ed position at MHS for 7 years.
I am excited to be working with the Kindergarten and 2nd grade team this year. We will collaborate very well in order to help all students learn the way that best suits them. I have a passion for helping students realize their own potential and greatness.
I grew up in the LISD district and actually attended Donald for K and 1st grade until I got re-zoned to Garden Ridge. I graduated from FMHS in 2003 and graduated college from UNT in 2007. I have two little boys; Peyton (8) and Eli (5). I also have 5 dogs!! I am sucker for animals!
