A Little About Ms. Korina Police - 

 

I am originally from Amarillo, TX and from a young age, the only thing I ever wanted to be, was a teacher.  However, after high school, I began studying psychology at Texas Tech University.  I knew that I needed to be in the classroom, so I had to return to school and soon I graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in Elementary Education. While living in New Orleans I made so many friends, and the culture was so interesting and forever changing. I taught there for three years and it was such a great experience, but in heart, I missed everything about Texas!  I knew I had to come home and be closer to my family and in a place where I feel most loved and where I knew I needed to be.

 

I have been teaching since 1998 and I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades!  I truly love teaching math and watching my learners create, think critically and imagine the impossible. I am a very proud mommy of three girls. and I find my greatest passion in life is guiding my students,  including my own children, as they become lifelong learners.
