Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Christine Prohonic
My name is Christine Prohonic, and this is my second year teaching Kindergarten at Southridge Elementary!
A little bit about myself:
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Duquesne University and my master's degree in Reading Education with a Reading Specialist Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh. I have been teaching for 8 years and my prior teaching experiences include working as a preschool teacher and various long-term substitute positions working as a reading specialist for grades K-4, a third grade teacher, and a kindergarten teacher.
Aside from teaching, I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, and outdoor activities such as running, cycling, volleyball, paddle boarding, and taking the dogs for walks.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. You can e-mail me at ProhonicC@lisd.net or call at 469-948-7340. My conference time is everyday between 11:35am - 12:25pm. Please call ahead or email me at email@example.com if you would like to schedule a meeting.
