LISD Spanish Immersion Program
Lewisville ISD (LISD) provides the opportunity for students seeking biliteracy and bilingualism (English/Spanish) through the implementation of a Spanish Immersion program of World Language instruction for Kinder-5th grades. In a Spanish Immersion program, the majority of the students in the class are learning Spanish. Students are taught core content in both English and Spanish. Students receive a 50/50 ratio of instruction in Spanish and English by two highly qualified teachers. Teachers in the Spanish Immersion program follow the LISD curriculum. Students participating will have access to all special programming based on student needs. Transportation is not provided for students coming from other school attendance zones.
