• Spanish I (One high school credit): 

    This full-year course is the introductory course in the Spanish language. During this course, the students will be taught basic vocabulary requiring the use of Spanish in the classroom. The students will learn conversational responses and work with the grammar items essential for understanding. The students will use conversation and vocabulary in the interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational modes as the basis for meeting the TEKS goals of communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and communities at the novice level. This course counts for one (1) high school credit.

    Spanish II (One high school credit):

    This full-year course is the second course in the Spanish language in which the student should attain novice proficiency in the language. Students will be exposed to further basic vocabulary and increased use of Spanish in the classroom. Using material learned in level 1 as well as new vocabulary and grammar, the students will continue to use conversation and vocabulary in the interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational modes as the basis for meeting the TEKS goals of communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and communities at the novice level. This course counts for one (1) high school credit.
