I am a UNT graduate who did a little bit of everything. I am certified as a florist and in American Sign Language. I spent many mornings under a UNT ornithology professor studying birds at Lake Lewisville Education Learning Area (LLELA). I have also studied consumer experience, marketing, and English. I first went to UNT under environmental science but switched to integrated studies; that way, I could encompass everything I have investigated.

My first job was at Build-A-Bear workshop. With seven years in total, I have built over 250,000 bears! This is where I felt my love for creativity and working with children began. However, my mom will tell you it began a long time ago. She knew I would be a teacher in High School, but I didn't realize this until after college.

As an educator, I want to share my passion for the world. I want to foster intrinsic motivation within students so that they may gain independent and critical thinking skills that will extend beyond the classroom.
