Hello! My name is Hannah Lawrence, and I am so excited to be a 1st Grade Teacher at Donald Elementary! I am new to Donald this year, but I was lucky enough to complete a year of student teaching at Donald last school year so it already feels like home. I am so excited to be a part of your child's early education and love building a fun and engaging learning environment with my students! 

I grew up in Los Angeles, California and went to Duke University in Durham, North Carolina to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. I met my husband while studying at Duke, and we have been married for 3 years! Wanting to further pursue my passion for teaching, I completed my master’s degree at Southern Methodist University and my student teaching right here at Donald. I could not be more excited to now call Donald my official home and start my first year of teaching with the wonderful families and students of Flower Mound. 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading, and good movies. We love exploring new places whether that is driving around the country to new states or planning trips abroad, and we are well on our way to trying to see the world! 

This year is going to be spectacular because of you! I can’t wait to get to know my new class soon and dive deeply in 1st grade!
