Jeanine Teter, ESL Liaison
After graduating college from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, my teaching career started in 1990 teaching Business and Career Exploration in the Hawaii Public School System. After 3 years in Hawaii, I headed back to Oklahoma to be closer to family and continued teaching Business and Computer Technology at the Southern Oklahoma Technology Center (Vocational Institution). It wasn't until I moved to Texas and took a part-time position teaching adult English Learners at a Language School where I discovered my passion for helping Engiish Language Learners and a love for the English as a Second Language Program itself. This new found passion inspired me to earn additional teaching certifications in English and ESL and, shortly after, to join Lewisville ISD in 2003. After teaching High School ESOL courses for 12 years, I transitioned to the ESL Liaison position where I am honored to champion for English Learners (Emerging Bilingual students) as they head toward the finish line of high school and on to their prospective futures.
