Active Committees
Community Bond Committee (2017 - Present)
The CBC is responsible for creating a transparent relationship with the public, ensuring all Bond decisions meet the standards voters and taxpayers have come to expect. To do this, their responsibilities include verifying effective and efficient use of bond funds, reviewing bond reports, and pursuing public accountability on the quality and delivery of all projects.
Community Budget Advisory Committee (2018 - Present)
The CBAC was formed to create collaborative review of the LISD budget (revenues, expenditures, program costs) to provide short- and long-term cost-savings and/or revenue-increasing recommendations for presentation to the LISD Board of Trustees and the community.
District Advisory Council (2021 - Present)
The purpose of the DAC is to advise the Superintendent and Board on district educational plans, goals, student performance, and major classroom instructional programs. The mission of the DAC is to inspire excellence in education for all LISD students.
District of Innovation Committee (2021 - Present)
The District of Innovation concept, passed by the 84th Legislative Session in House Bill 1842, gives traditional independent school districts additional flexibility in several areas governed by the Texas Education Code.
Diversity Council (2017 - Present)
The Diversity Council was formed to gain insight and perspectives from the different cultures within the LISD community and to understand their experiences within the LISD system. The Council, comprised of parents and community members, provides feedback and collaborates with the district on the development of future resources and events that support an inclusive environment for all to thrive.
Legislative Advocacy Committee (2020 - Present)
The LAC was formed to support Lewisville ISD’s students, families, educators, board members, elected officials, and community members through local, state, and federal legislative research, feedback, and advocacy.
Marketing Steering Committee (2019 - Present)
The LISD Marketing Steering Committee consists of high-level sales and marketing experts and was formed to to discuss and to plan strategies on building successful marketing campaigns for LISD. The committee provides guidance on marketing strategies, budgetary control, and resource allocations.
Staff Budget Advisory Team (2019 - Present)
The team provides as well as receives input from the Superintendent and Leadersip Team in regards to budgetary issues. They serve as liaisons for campuses or departments to provide budget context.
School Health Advisory Council (2021 - Present)
The LISD SHAC serves as an advisory council which provides recommendations, changes, and/or additions to the school’s health education curriculum and instruction for consideration by the LISD Board of Trustees. The council discusses issues and concerns that impact the entire district, not just individual campuses.
Technology Advisory Council (2019 - Present)
The Technology Advisory Council (TAC) represents diverse stakeholders of students, parents, teachers, administrators, content experts, technology experts working in diverse IT related fields (cybersecurity, network, technical services, information services, etc), as well as LISD Technology and Digital Learning leaders. The purpose of the group is to serve as a sounding board for technology related initiatives and strategic technology planning. The group will inform and support meaningful and effective uses of technology in support of the district's strategic goals.

Facilities Advisory Committee (2016 - 2017)
The purpose of the FAC was to collaborate on the development of a bond package recommendation for presentation to the Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees and ultimately to the Lewisville ISD community in May 2017.
