Student Observers

Looking to become a student observer with LISD?

All observation placements are made through the HR department in collaboration with Professional Learning once an application has been received and reviewed.

Requests for spring student observation placements have closed.

Requests for the Fall 2026 semester have opened.

*Student observers should NOT reach out to schools/principals/teachers. LISD will contact principals and host teachers once placements have been finalized. Only requests that follow the application process will be considered for placement. We do NOT take specific campus requests.

We will begin accepting student observation placement for Fall 2026 requests on April 11.

The Student Observer must complete this application to be considered for placement.
One or two placements may be requested.
