    Unit Title: How Leaders Use Communication


    In this unit students will:


    Use effective oral communication skills- be prepared, speak clearly with good voice (fluency, inflection, pacing), stay on topic, maintain eye contact, use appropriate vocabulary, complete sentences, good posture, appropriate gestures, and enthusiasm for topic and audience 

    Differentiate between the purposes of oral communication: to inform, reassure, persuade. 

    Use communication skills to persuade or influence others. 

    Use multiple strategies and materials to enhance their communication. 

    Anticipate opposing viewpoints. 

    Discern when to use communication to lead and when to follow.
