Principal's Message

    Dear Farmer Family,

I want to take this opportunity to officially welcome you to Lewisville High School Killough! High school is such an exciting time, and I look forward to working together to make your child’s 9th and 10th grade year the very best it can be. Welcome back to our 10th grade parents and welcome aboard to our new parents and 9th graders. You are joining a tight knit community filled with Farmer Pride and support for you and your child.

If you would, please take a minute to familiarize yourself with the wonderful LHS Killough web page at  Here you will find a wealth of information related to our school: the opening of the new school year, school supplies, block lunch, football spirit days, Farmer sports’ schedules, and many other types of information about upcoming events at LHS Killough.  Our website is updated regularly and is the quickest way for students and parents to find information about upcoming events at LHS Killough.

Please “friend” us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter (@LHSKillough) so that you can stay connected to what’s going on at LHS Killough. In addition, please be sure to update your contact information for emails and phone calls home through “Skyward Family Access.” This allows you to receive information from the school messenger phone system. I communicate weekly with parents, via email and phone calls, to keep you up to date and involved in the great things going on at LHS Killough.

Our counselors are working diligently on finalizing the master schedule. Students will receive a “mock” schedule during orientation. Students will receive a hard copy of their schedule when they arrive to campus for the first day of school.

Skyward Help Day – Forms Due

Please remember that your child’s informational forms are required to be updated for each 9th and 10th grade student attending LHS Killough.

All necessary forms can be found under the Skyward link on the LISD website and may be completed at your convenience. Should you need Internet access or other help to complete them, please see the options below:

You are welcome to come up tomorrow during orientation for Skyward help. Teachers and Spanish translators will be in room 116 to assist you.

You are welcome to contact Lisa Houpy at 972-350-4505 if you need help via phone or if you are not able to come in person.

    iPad Fees

Students who wish to participate in the 1:X program and have a district-owned iPad must pay an annual insurance fee.  Fees will be loaded into Skyward within the next couple of weeks and must be paid in order for students to be issued an iPad or to keep their current one.  Replacement and repair costs for iPads damaged are charged to the student’s Skyward account unless this fee is paid.  Fees can be paid online through Skyward or in the LHS Killough office.  Please visit, click on the Resources tab, then “For Parents” for more information and the 1:X handbook.

I have also attached a parent checklist for your convenience.  My philosophy is that I want you to have the all help you need and to make things as easy as possible for you and our child.  We will get you all the help in the world that you need.

It is an exciting time of the year as we gear up for the first day of school. Again, I want to welcome all of you to what we hope will be your best school year yet. Please do not hesitate to stop by the office or give us a call if we can assist you in any way. Best wishes to you and your family. I look forward to an amazing year! Go Farmers!
