Message from the Assistant Principal

  • Hello Timber Creek Community,

I am excited to continue to serve as Assistant Principal at Timber Creek Elementary School!  I am one who embraces a sense of family and the essence of tradition.  I feel truly blessed to be part of the Timber Creek community who invest time in our students, staff, and school.

This is my twelfth year serving in Lewisville ISD.  My first three years I taught World History and U.S. History at Lewisville High School while coaching football and basketball.  I then transferred to Lewisville High School Killough to teach World Geography for two years.  The following two years I worked in support at the district level in the departments of Professional Development and Learning and Teaching.  I am honored to continue on year five as Assistant Principal at Timber Creek!

My educational philosophy is that every child is entitled to an opportunity to succeed and reach their goals.  I inspire to establish a platform for stakeholders to be successful, and take joy in witnessing the success of young people.  Kids are far too young to be given up on; I have a tenacious personality of never giving up and that includes never giving up on youth.  We strive to set an avenue for students to grow as leaders in our school.  We look forward to celebrating together when goals are met here at Timber Creek!

This year will be none like we have ever known, and there may be a number of uncertainties.  One thing that is certain, we will continue to serve families in our utmost capacity.  Will continue to live by our vision in giving students voice, choice, and thriving in their lives with a future they create.  This aligns what we strive to do at Timber Creek, “We Build Leaders Today, To Change Tomorrow.”  We know you will make the best decision for your family and your loved ones.  No matter what avenue you choose, remember:  Once A Tiger, Always A Tiger!

I would like to welcome back all returners to Timber Creek and welcome newcomers as well.  The children here are in great hands and we are looking forward to a great year at Timber Creek!  I am always excited to collaborate and synergize with our great staff here at Timber Creek.  I have an open door policy for any assistance that is desired, please feel free to reach out.

    Sincerely,

    Travis Miller, Assistant Principal
