Message from the Assistant Principal
Hello Timber Creek Community,
I am ecstatic to serve as Assistant Principal at Timber Creek Elementary School! I am one who embraces a sense of family and the essence of tradition. I feel truly blessed to be part of the Timber Creek community who invest time in our students, staff, and school.
This is my eleventh year serving in Lewisville ISD. My first three years I taught World History and U.S. History at Lewisville High School while coaching football and basketball. I then transferred to Lewisville High School Killough to teach World Geography for two years. The following two years I worked in support at the district level in the departments of Professional Development and Learning and Teaching. I am honored to continue on year four as Assistant Principal at Timber Creek!
My educational philosophy is that every child is entitled to an opportunity to succeed and reach their goals. I inspire to establish a platform for stakeholders to be successful, and take joy in witnessing the success of young people. Kids are far too young to be given up on; I have a tenacious personality of never giving up and that includes never giving up on youth. We strive to set an avenue for students to grow as leaders in our school. We look forward to celebrating together when goals are met here at Timber Creek!
Along with my excitement in starting this new year, I’m also excited to continue our transformation in The Leader in Me process that includes the strategies of the 7 Habits for Highly Effective People! This gives our kids a platform to be leaders and become the best versions of themselves. We take pride at Timber Creek in building leaders today to change tomorrow. This year, we are introducing the 8th Habit: Find Your Own Voice and Inspire Others to Find Theirs. This habit guides us to grow from effective leaders to great leaders. It aligns with our district vision in giving students voice, choice, and thriving in their lives with a future they create.
I would like to welcome back all returners to Timber Creek and welcome newcomers as well. The children here are in great hands and we are looking forward to a great year at Timber Creek! I am always excited to collaborate and synergize with our great staff here at Timber Creek. I have an open door policy for any assistance that is desired, please feel free to reach out at anytime.
