    Lewisville ISD is excited to announce the "Future Ready L.O.T.E. Teacher: The Inside Edge" series for all World Language teacher candidates.

    We invite you to join the Lewisville ISD World Languages department leaders in a FREE, three-part learning experience to provide you with the inside edge in earning your World Languages teaching certificate, including foundational theories, core practices, lesson design, classroom instruction, and more!

    Participants will attend a three-part training series and provide Lewisville ISD with an additional three days of substituting in any area of instruction during the 2021-22 school year. In addition, we ask that participants consider LISD first in their job search for the 2022-2023 school year by joining the world languages application pool.  

    Trainings will be held in-person only at Lewisville ISD (exact location shared once registration is complete).

    October 29, 2021
    All modern languages, certified or non-certified LOTE teacher candidates without a full-time teaching position

    Day 2
    November 15, 2021
    All modern languages, certified or non-certified LOTE teacher candidates without a full-time teaching position

    Day
    January 28, 2022
    Only candidates who have not passed their TeXes LOTE exam in Spanish, French or German

    General areas of learning complement the TeXes LOTE exam and prepare participants to articulate knowledge in the following areas for future exams and/or interviews:

    • foundational language acquisition theories
    • core practices
    • lesson design
    • classroom instruction
    • practice run-through of portions of the TeXes exam with explanations for support
    • simulation of the oral expression section of the exam
    • …and more!
