Mrs. Amy Foskey

Mrs. Foskey came to Timber Creek during the 2019-2020 school year. This year, she is moving from being a 5th grade teacher to a 3rd grade teacher. Mrs. Foskey feels that 3rd grade is her sweet spot and cannot wait to get this year rolling! Having taught 1 year in Atlanta, GA and 5 years in LISD, this will be Mrs. Foskey’s 7th year of teaching in public schools. Mrs. Foskey has previously taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, special education, and preschool. She holds a bachelor's degree from Kennesaw State University in Early Childhood Education as well as an English Language Learners certification. Mrs. Foskey also had 8 years total of Spanish in school, so she is (mostly) fluent in Spanish! Mrs. Foskey is a former LISD student, but went to high school and college in Atlanta, Georgia. She couldn’t stay away from Texas too long and moved back as soon as she could. You know what they say, “You can take the girl out of Texas, but you can’t take Texas out of the girl!” Mrs. Foskey and her husband, a police officer in the area, have a 3 year old daughter, Adelaide, and a 2 year old, Camden! Mrs. Foskey is so excited to be in 3rd grade this year here at Timber Creek. She feels that this is going to be the most memorable and exciting year to date!
