Hi, I’m Yanique, and I am so excited to be at Hicks Elementary as an SDI teacher! I have worked with district 20 and this will be my 21^st year of teaching.  Before coming to Hicks I worked at Hebron High School, Durham, and Hedrick Middle School. 

I was born in Nebraska and raised in Colorado before moving to Texas at the age of 16.  I graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington before earning mu undergraduate degree in Psychology at Xavier University, LA. 

I have 2 children, Kameron who graduated from Hebron High school, and now attends Texas Tech University, and Londyn who attends Hebron Valley Elementary.  My favorite thing to do is watch sports, I LOVE football, and spend time with my family. 

I am so excited about this school year and can’t wait to meet you guys.
