Early Childhood Bilingual/ESL
2020 Early Childhood Summer School will take place virtually due to the continued COVID-19 related health restrictions.
LISD provides Early Childhood Summer School for English Language Learners entering 2020-21 kindergarten and first grade focusing on developing greater proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
*If TEA cancels or modifies the Limited English Proficient Summer School program requirements due to COVID-19, Lewisville ISD will revise the Virtual Early Childhood Summer School program.
Who is Eligible?
LEP students currently in PK4 and Kindergarten bound for Kinder and First Grade for 2020-21 who have accepted and received either ESL or Bilingual services are eligible to participate in this optional program. While these students are not required to participate, districts are required to provide the program. As always, it is offered at no cost for the students who choose to participate. Invitations to register were emailed only to eligible students on Monday, May 18.

June 1 through July 3 (25 student instructional days)
Virtual Teacher Hours
4 office hours daily to facilitate and plan for virtual instruction.
Virtual Summer School teachers will provide students with weekly home learning plans with a mix of home learning activities, online activities, and virtual Webex class meetings with their virtual summer school teacher.
