• Title I Parent Involvement Policy

     

    In order to promote a partnership between the home and the school for improving the education of children participating in the federally funded Title I program, Stewart’s Creek Elementary School will implement programs, activities, and procedures for the involvement of parents.

     

    Stewart’s Creek Elementary School will:

     

    • Conduct an annual meeting to inform parents of their school’s participation in the Title 1 program and to explain the requirements and rights of the parents to be involved at the PTA meeting on September 19, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. This information will also be discussed at the parent orientations.
    • Involve parents in an organized, ongoing, and timely way in the planning, review, and improvement of the Title 1 program through:

     

    1. Parent involvement activities such as PTA meetings and Watch Dog program.
    2. School/Parent Compact
    3. Building Leadership Committee meetings where parents are encouraged to provide input about student and campus goals.
    4. Annual Title 1 meetings that discuss the services and programs that governmental funded money provides.
    5. Family Education Nights where parents are encouraged to view and participate in sample classroom activities so as to see what their child is learning in the classroom.
    6. Parent/Teacher Conferences when needed to discuss the progress of their child’s academic strengths and weaknesses.
    7. Parent Workshops focused on promoting students’ success such as the Love and Logic discipline program.

     

    Parents will have the opportunity to participate in various surveys and/or meetings throughout the year in order to provide input regarding Title 1 planning, implementations and improvement.
