Art in LISD offers students opportunities to develop and expand visual literacy skills and to apply elements of artistic expression and principles of design to create original artworks. 

Art in LISD offers students an enriched art experience through the introduction of art elements and the development of artistic and creative expression. Students continuing or entering into the art program throughout middle and high school years may engage in expanded art course offerings throughout subsequent years in high school.

Art Club is a fun way to explore art expression through a variety of medium.  Our purpose is to encourage aesthetic expression and appreciation of the Visual Arts in and around Durham Middle School.
