Linda Black

Linda has been teaching with the VLA as an adjunct teacher since 2016 and joined the staff as a full-time teacher in the summer of 2018. Teaching is Linda’s second career. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, Linda spent 25 years working in the financial services industry. After deciding her true passion was to teach the English Language Arts, Linda pursued a Master of Arts in Teaching and began teaching at Marcus High School in 2015.

Linda is married to another LISD teacher and has three children: two boys and a girl, ages 18, 17, and 10, respectively. She also has a loveable yellow Labrador Retriever named Indiana Jones.

Interests: Linda loves to read, practice yoga, and watch her beloved Fighting Irish on football Saturdays.
