As explained by the Trinity Valley North Central Regional group: Destination Imagination® is an extraordinary non-profit organization that provides educational programs for students to learn and experience creativity, teamwork and problem solving. It is an exhilarating ... activity in which students work in teams to solve mind-bending Challenges and present their solutions at Tournaments.

DI is divided into two groups at the elementary school level: Rising Stars (K - 2nd grades) and Competitive (3rd - 5th grades).

We will have a joint informational meeting the first week of October for all Vickery families interested in the program - see details below.

This varies from the district meeting on 09/25/2017, at Forestwood Middle School, as it is specific to our school and will essentially be a trial-run meeting for first-time participants.

More information will be provided about the DI program and those who have previously participated will share their thoughts about it. Students will have an opportunity to participate in a couple of hands-on activities.

A Team Manager will talk about past team performances and how the groups worked together. At the end of the meeting, we plan to determine each team's meeting day and time going forward.

If you are unable to attend our informational meeting at Vickery, contact our school's DI Coordinator: Stephanie Duffey, or 214.620.5322
