Auto Collision

  • In Auto Collision Repair, students will learn collision repair skills such as repair shop safety, hand and power tools use, part removal and installation, metal repair, priming and painting techniques, basic measurements, and paint ratio and mixing procedures. 

    For students who are interested in continuing their careers in Auto Collision Repair, Paint and Refinishing and Practicum in Transportation, Distribution and Logistics are also available.

    Danny Robinson has been the Auto Collision instructor at Dale Jackson since 1992 and will be transition with the classes to TECC-W. Born and raised in the DFW area, Mr. Robinson attended college at East Texas State University. In 2001, Mr. Robinson was awarded Teacher of the Year for DJCC.  Mr. Robinson is an ASE certified technician. His family has owned and operated a collision repair facility since 1968, and Mr. Robinson’s father was an Auto Collision instructor for over 30 years. 

     

    During this class you will learn the fundamentals of Auto Collision Repair while getting your ASE and i-Car Certification. In Auto Collision Repair, students will learn collision repair skills such as repair shop safety, hand and power tools use, part removal and installation, metal repair, priming and painting techniques, basic measurements, and paint ratio and mixing procedures. For students who are interested in continuing their careers in Auto Collision Repair, Paint and Refinishing and Practicum in Transportation, Distribution and Logistics are also available.
