Hello there, Donald family! My name is Ellie Marciano and I can’t wait to meet my fifth graders! I have lived and taught in a few states now and I feel so blessed to call Texas my forever home. I taught fifth grade in West Virginia and I’m ready to do it again. I absolutely love teaching and project-based learning is my jam!

About Me:

I grew up in southeastern Kentucky and moved to New York, where I eventually met my husband. Our family consists of four children (three at home), spread out between 5 and 19! My husband is an engineer with Toyota. We have a dog, Marty (McFly when he’s bad), a canary named John, and currently, a wild bird the boys have named Chonky Cardinal. 

I finished my Bachelor’s degree from Medaille College in Buffalo, New York. Shortly after, our family was offered the opportunity to live in Japan for two years-one of the most amazing experiences of our lives! 

Hobbies are hard to come by as a mama to three boys, but when I can, I love to bake, read, and assemble Harry Potter lego sets (this is a recent one and I’m hooked). My boys and I also really enjoy watching Mark Rober videos.

Teaching for me is a passion, and has been my dream for as long as I can remember, and I look forward to an amazing year with your kiddos!
