School Safety

A District Emergency Operations Plan is maintained and updated annually. It addresses mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. Required elements in this plan are (1) district employee training, (2) mandatory school drills, (3) measures to ensure coordination with local emergency management agencies and (4) implementation of a security audit every three years.

Likewise, each Lewisville ISD campus maintains a Campus Emergency Operations Plan that is updated annually with a copy provided to the police department, fire department, and LISD Student Services.
