HEALTH OFFICE INFORMATION Mrs. Shirley Glidwell, R.N. Frequently Asked Questions Q: Is my student allowed to carry over-the-counter and/or prescription medicine? A: Students are permitted to carry their own prescription medication and/or over-the-counter medicine, as long as it is still in the original packaging (no ziplock baggies, plastic pill containers, etc.) AND is accompanied by a parent note. Q: What should my student do if they take a daily medication? A: If a student is on a daily medication, a supply should be provided to the school's nurse to be kept in the Health Office. All narcotics MUST be turned into the nurse (i.e. - pain medicine, cough medicine, insulin, ADHD medication, etc.). Q: What are some common immunizations required for students? A: Approximately at the time when a student enters the 9th grade, they are due for a Tetanus booster shot. Please be certain that the student is current on all other immunizations.
