Mission Statement:
Our responsibility is to ourselves and to others in the Killough LHS-North family to provide a safe environment for all. Our goal is to have a student-led movement to this end. We hope to foster good citizenship and build self-esteem among our group members, as we realize our value in our school. Our desire is to become a resource for preventing crime and violence in our school.

Our Goals:

  • To instill positive values, foster good citizenship and build self-confidence in our young people.

    To provide crime-free, drug-free environments through a youth-led movement.

  • To enable youth to become resources for preventing crime, drug use and violence in their schools and neighborhoods.

Activities of the Crew:

  • Be a visible deterrent to criminal activity.

Involve a wide spectrum of youth in supporting school and community activities.

Help to identify real threats to the school environment.

  • Crew members help set standards and expectations for peers’ behavior.

Testimonials from Student Members of Crime Watch Programs Across America:

  • “I feel good each and every day knowing that I am part of what keeps the school together.”

“The program has made me feel like a role-model...it helps me to be a better person, to do the right thing.”

“I’ve become a leader...it’s made me step up my maturity...and helped me to communicate on an adult level.”

  • “...not just another program, but a way of life.”
