Killough LHS - North
Makes 2008 Honor Roll!
Congratulations to Killough Lewisville High School - North who made the Texas Business & Education Coalition's (TBEC) Honor Roll for the fourth consecutive time. The TBEC Honor Roll recognizes schools that have demonstrated three years of consistent high performance in all subjects compared to other schools serving similar populations.
Being named a TBEC Honor Roll school is the most prestigious academic award given in Texas. As TBEC's former Board Chairman, Ja
ck Lowe, puts it, “Schools get on our honor roll the old fashioned way, they earn it.”
These outstanding schools will be honored at TBEC's 9th Annual Honor Roll Schools Celebration on November 10, 2008 at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. Following a half day of seminars for school attendees, the celebration will begin at 6:00 pm with a reception followed by the awards dinner at 7:00 pm. For information on sponsorship availability or tickets contact TBEC at
512-480-8232 or click here to visit the TBEC website.

Drug Testing Policy
LISD has implemented
a drug testing policy for
all students involved in a
UIL sanctioned activity. |
"There is a national initiative to assist with students being drug free and the testing provides accountability and a legitimate "OUT" from peer pressure to use drugs. Many school districts throughout Texas have started this program with great success
and support from the community. We are excited to bring such a great program to our district to support our kids."
