My name is Jill Adams and this is my 3 rd year at Lamar! Before that, I taught 6 th grade English and was a cheerleading coach and UIL coach. I went to Texas A&M University for my bachelor’s degree and University of North Texas for my master’s degree. I absolutely love being a counselor! Each day brings a new set of challenges and opportunities for fun. As a counselor, I feel it’s really important to know our students and families really well. My goal is to work with our entire school community to make the Lamar experience a positive, safe and growing time. Hello! My name is Brent Hughes, and I am so excited to be here at Lamar! I’ll be working primarily with all 7 th graders and 8 th grade boys. I have previously worked in the Prosper and Frisco school districts. I see my main role as a counselor to help students eliminate anything that might be getting in the way of their learning.
