Since 1987, Lamar Middle School has been a school focused on meeting the academic, social, emotional and physical needs of the middle school student. This is accomplished through academic teaming, an alternating block schedule, a range of academic classes from Special Education to LEAP, and a multitude of elective and activity choices. Recognition of students exhibiting their best in all areas occurs through the Lamar Leaders program. Lamar MS received 2008 exemplary rating
with gold performances in math,reading ,science,social studies, writing, and comparable improvement in math.
