Lakeview students can choose from a wide range of activities. Sixth grade students have one period for an activity. Sixth graders may choose one of the full year music activities (band,orchestra, or choir) for their activities, some of the activities offered on a full semester basis in seventh and eighth grade. Sixth grade students are not eligible to participate in school sports.

Seventh grade students are allowed to participate in sports. Seventh grade students must choose to enroll in a sports class or physical education class. Seventh grade girl's sports include volleyball, tennis, basketball, cross country, track, soccer, and swimming. Seventh grade boy's sports include football, tennis, basketball, cross country, track, soccer, and swimming.

Seventh grade students may choose a full year activities, or may decide to take two activities that are one semester each in length. Full year activities include band, orchestra, choir, and art. Semester activities include outdoor education, home economics foods, home economics sewing, home economics skills for life, industrial arts, art, and drama.

Eight grade students have the same sports and physical education options as seventh graders. In addition to the seventh grade activities eighth graders may also choose drama II.

Seventh and eighth grade students are eligible for enrollment in the school's yearbook class as well as serving as an aide (office, library, or attendance) for a full year elective. Interested students complete applications for possible enrollment in the yearbook class and aide positions. A limited number of students are elected based on recommendations and schedule availability.

Students in all three grades are eligible to participate in student council. Seventh and eighth grade students who meet certain grade citizenship requirements are invited to join the National Junior Honor Society. The school's drama club also is open to students in all three grades.
