My entire teaching career has been at Lakeview minus one year when I taught at a high school in Tennessee. When I came for my interview I had never been to Texas. I have grown to love Texas and now I call it home. I met my wife Kelli at Lakeview, and we now have a four year old son Rhet. When I am not teaching, I like to be on adventure with my family. My favorite places to roam are usually mountain areas of Colorado, and the remote corners of Texas. Kayaking the canyons of the Rio Grande or sitting around a good campfire would be two of my favorite things. I also enjoy working around my house in Aubrey. I've grown to love the country lifestyle and I even had a pretty good harvest in my garden this year.
Lakeview Middle School has been a special place for me and I appreciate the staff and students that I have worked with for the past thirteen years.

I grew up in southern Indiana. I was lucky that I had parents that loved to travel. I believe these travels were what gave me an appreciation for Social Studies. The classes I did the best in were Geography, History, and Government. I was also very involved in athletics, playing high school basketball and tennis. I attended Ball State University in Muncie where I got my teaching degree. I will always be a proud alumni of Ball State, and to this day I often try to get to a football or basketball game if they are ever in the area. After college graduation I got my first teaching job at Lakeview in 1995. In the year 2000 I received my M.Ed. at the University of North Texas.
