In addition to the LISD's Curriculum for the 3rd grade the following are some of the activities unique to Homestead.

* Third graders celebrate the learning of multiplication facts with a Banana Split Party.

* Third graders go to the Elm Fork Education Center in Denton for an exciting Field Trip.

* Third graders participate in a simulation of Ellis Island and the Underground Railroad.

* Third graders celebrate Christmas Around the World.

* Third graders participate in Marketplace which is a fun six week economic unit about consumers' cost of making products.
