Hedrick Middle School athletes are still expected to exhibit these attitudes:

	Positive attitudes towards coaches, teammates and yourself
	Punctuality
	Coachability - take instruction well and make a positive action come from it; work ethic; hustle
	Skills - serves, bump, set, spike, block, agility on the court, ball control, movement to the ball, and court sense

Each athlete, regardless of the sport she is trying out for, will need to purchase maroon practice shorts.  Each player who makes the volleyball team will be required to purchase a team shirt.  All game uniforms and practice shirts will be provided.

The 7th grade volleyball teams consist of 3 groups:  Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3.  The 8th grade teams consist of only Division 1 and Division 2.  Those students who do not make the volleyball team will stay in athletics in the off-season program and will work on conditioning and preparation for basketball, track, and soccer.
