Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Technology Applications

Education is becoming global and instantaneous.
There is no question that schools must be able to produce lifelong learners who will have the knowledge, attitudes, and skills required to compete in a dynamic, global economy.  To accomplish this, we must see that students become technologically proficient.  They will need to have excellent communication skills, and they will need to know how to gain access to an ever-growing body of knowledge, evaluate the information they find, and use it appropriately.  Preparing students to manage information and knowledge through technology is essential to the future of our country.

Technology can improve every student's ability to learn.
