Here at Hebron
Valley Elementary, we are fortunate enough to have a large population
of students who come from homes where more than one language
is spoken. Some of these students qualify for classes in English
as a Second Language (E.S.L.). In E.S.L. classes, the goal is
to help students become competent in the comprehension, speaking,
reading, and composition of the English language. Mastery of
these English language skills enables students to participate
equitably in school. Emphasis is also placed on exploring and
accepting all student's cultural diversity, while at the same
time, educating students on traditional American holidays and
customs.
