maximum potential in the mainstream classroom.

from Content Mastery?
A. A student who:
1. Is retained and is still having trouble the second time
around.
2. is an MTA student experiencing diffuculty in teh classroom.
3. failed one or more parts of the TAAS test.
4. is a 504 student who has been offered Content Mastery.
Q. How does Content
Mastery help a student?
A. Services include,
but are not limited to the following:
1. Reading tests to students and or assisting teachers with
test modifications.
2. Helping with a worksheet, written assignment or anything
involving textbooks.
3. Studying for tests and exams.
4. Discussing individual student's strengths and weaknesses
with classroom teachers.
5. Monitoring student's progress and placement.
6. Aiding in student's organization.
7. Test taking skills
8. Strategies which help develop "study skills"
independence.
9. Developing student responsibilty.
Q. When can a student
come to the Content Mastery room?
A. A student may leave
the regular classroom adngo to CM only when independent work
is being done. The student must be in the regular classroom
during direct instruction, class discussion, group work, cooperative
learning, peer tutoring, experiments or films.
