Mrs. Carter was born and raised in South Georgia, where her parents and brother still reside. She is a 1995 graduate of Wilcox County High School in Rochelle, Georgia. Mrs. Carter graduated Salutatorian of her class. She then attended Valdosta State University where she met her husband, Jeff, now of 10 years. She finished her degree in Middle Grades Education/ Mathematics and graduated from Thomas University in Thomasville, Georgia. Mrs. Carter taught math for three years in Georgia before moving Texas with her family in 2007. This is her second year at Griffin where she teaches Algebra 1 and 8 th grade math. She is also the cheerleading coach for the Griffin Pride cheerleaders. Mrs. Carter resides in Frisco, Texas with her husband and two boys, Hudson and Vance.
