Notes from the Cafeteria |

Purchasing Lunch tickets: All lunch tickets
must be purchased before the start of lunch at 10:30. You may pay in
cash or with a check.
All snacks and ice cream purchases must be made with cash -
no lunch tickets may be used for these purchases. A child may borrow
up to two full lunches
worth in charges then will be given an alternative menu selection of
a sandwich and milk until more monies are received into the account.
Low
balance notices will be sent home at least twice a week. When the balance
is $4.00 or below. The dollar amount reflects the child's balance after
lunch
that
day. Please include your childs first and last name on all checks as
this will insure that they are credited to the proper account.

Snacks: Snacks
range in price from $.50 to $.75. Ice Cream is $.75. A milk comes with
the lunch but it is not required to be taken.
Alternative drinks are offered for an additional price of $.75 or $1.25. |

Menu Items: The menu
is sent home twice a year and is also read aloud during the morning announcements.
You can also find the menu
posted on the Child Nutrition Website
on the LISD web page. Your child's
teacher also has a full copy that she or he receives every month from the
manager. Lunch consists of the entrée and 4 side items, one of which
can be milk. A total of 5 items make up a complete lunch. Anything over
that is an extra charge. All the items must be different, i.e. no two deserts
or two breads. |

The cafeteria manager can be reached between 8:15 a.m. and
10:00 a.m. No phone calls will be accepted during serving times. |

Parents and visitors must call ahead to eat
lunch with their child. This will insure a correct amount of prepared
food for the students,
who are our first priority. The Cafeteria Manager ?will have the final
decision as to whether a guest may buy a school lunch if lunch is not ordered
ahead of time. |
