Peer Models: We are always looking for peer models. Peer models are kids that can help peer teach within the PPCD classroom. Peer models are 3 or 4 years old. They have to pass the Special Education screening process. Please call 972-436-4711 to schedule a screening.
PPCD at Forest Vista:
In our PPCD room we like to have fun. The kids work very hard and are learning lots. We use themes through out the year to support the skills that we are working on. We frequently align our themes with the kindergarten themes with the exception that we work at a rate of speed appropriate for the children in PPCD

Clothes for class need to be things they can learn to do independently (suspenders fall in the toilet and they are not adept enough to get them over the shoulder).

We do motor lab every day and we need appropriate dress for the activity. Tennis shoes and pants, sandals won't work on a balance beam or jumping off things. If you put dresses on your girl please include shorts under the dress.

We will try to deliver a nutritional snack to the students. We can not give candy. Parties need to be nutritional foods. We can not have Kool-aid so we will have water. We will make sure it is available all day( like we usually do). Birthday treats need to be discussed with me in advance. Please be aware of food allergies, please ask first. Preferred snack for a party could be cookies, sandwiches, fruits and or veggies. The room Mom will notify you of what you need to send for our parties. Our 3 parties for the year are Winter Holiday, Valentines, End of the Year.

Here are some great websites that your kids can enjoy. When letting your child on the internet

please watch them. These sites have many other areas that they could go that they may not understand.

Some of the sites have more reading than they can do. Help them to the sites for SAFE FUN.
