Fourth grade is a year of high expectations and great achievements. We introduce and broaden many elements in every subject area. We also have the opportunity to attend an outdoor science lab (LISDOLA), and participate in four days of “life saving” swimming lessons. In the classroom we address the TEKS in preparation for the writing reading, and math TAKS tests.
• Science = vertebrates and invertebrates, water,
chemical reactions
• Social Studies = the study of the State of Texas
• Math = geometry, fractions, decimals, basic operations
• Writing = fluency in grammar as well as elaboration techniques
• Reading = Accelerated Reader program and refining reading skills
