FME has chosen Scholastic Reading Counts! as one of our tools to encourage students to read. Reading Counts! (RC) is quiz software that tests student comprehension of the books they read. Students earn points for quizzes that they answer correctly; the points accumulate toward individual, classroom, and school goals. Each teacher sets the standards for use of RC points in her/his classroom. Reading grades are never determined by RC points earned. Instead RC points are used to augment classroom instruction and as a motivational tool.

The catalog of RC quizzes is available online in various sort formats: by book title, by author, by points earned, and by reading level. Please click on the format you wish to search:

Note: There are over 9,000 titles in the FME library, while we have around 4,000 titles in the RC quiz catalog. If there is a book in our library that you'd like to see added to the list of RC quizzes, please contact the FME librarian with the title and author. As time allows she will see about having a quiz prepared and added to the database.
