We welcome visits by parents. However, visitors are not allowed to go directly to the classroom. If you wish to observe in a particular classroom this must be scheduled through the principal’s office and is limited to 1 hour. Anytime you visit (including eating lunch with your child, volunteering, etc.) we ask that you sign in and wear a badge identifying you as a campus visitor; see below for details. Please do not interrupt teachers during instructional time.
Lunchtime Visitors
“Visitors’ Lunches” will be on Monday and Friday only. Visitors must sign in, put on a visitor’s badge, and go directly to the designated place in the cafeteria. (See Cafeteria - Lunch.) Please sign out as you exit the building.
Conferences/ Meetings/ Mentors/ etc.
Each teacher has a conference time and will be happy to make an appointment to meet with any parent. Conferences need to be prearranged. At the scheduled time please come into the office to sign in and get your visitor’s badge. The office staff will notify the teacher of your arrival. Please sign out in the office when you leave.
Volunteers
All volunteers must log in at the computer in the office and wear a volunteer badge. Volunteers are asked to notify the office staff that they are in the building. Volunteers must also log out when they leave. All volunteers must have passed their criminal history check to be allowed in contact with the children. Volunteers are also asked to attend a volunteer orientation and maintain proper etiquette and dress code while in the building.
