We encourage you to become a school volunteer* by volunteering in the classroom, cafeteria, library, motor lab, computer lab, workroom, etc. You can also help by being a reading assistant, sponsoring special events, or serving as a mentor. We highly encourage participation in campus parent organizations. Parents have the opportunity to support and be involved in various school activities, either as leaders or in supporting roles. Be sure to join PTA!
You may also offer to serve as a parent representative on the District-level or campus-level planning committees formulating educational goals and plans to improve student achievement. For more information, contact the school principal.
The LISD School Board meets on the second Monday of each month. This is an opportunity for individuals to learn more about the District operations.
* A CRIMINAL HISTORY check must be completed and approved for any parent/guardian to work with students or attend field trips. Please complete a criminal history check during the first week of school. (See Criminal History Checks for more information.)
