Dress Code 

Parents and students may determine the student's personal dress and grooming standards, provided that the student's dress and grooming:

Shall not lead the school officials to believe that such dress or grooming will disrupt, interfere with, disturb, or detract from school activities.  Shall not create a health or other hazard to the student's safety or to the safety of others.  Elementary students must wear appropriate shorts.  Shorts and skirts should come to  the tips of the student's fingers when arms are held directly down beside the leg.  Hats may be worn outside or on special designated days only.  Cleats are not worn at Degan.  Tops should cover the torso.
